Computer viruses are introduced to a computer system in various ways. The number one way is through the Internet. Once a computer is infected it does not perform as it should, and in some cases a virus can render a computer useless. John's Computer Works can find and remove almost all computer viruses without losing important files.

The most common advise that technicians give their customers for ridding their system of viruses is to re-format the hard drive and re-install everything. We do not advise this practice for several reasons. When you re-format you will most likely back up files you need to keep, if these backed up files are infected you will re-introduce the viruses back into the newly installed system. Another reason is that you may think you have backed up all the files you need and after you re-format you may recall a file or files that you forgot about backing up that you really needed.
