* In-Shop Service

Our store in Houghton Lake features a full repair facility and qualified technicians to repair and upgrade your computer. When you visit our store with your PC, we will ask a few questions to better understand your need for repair and upgrades. Oone of our technicians will inspect your computer to determine what repairs are necessary and will prepare a written estimate of costs including labor and parts. If you are having an upgrade performed we will prepare an estimate for that service as well. You can wait for your estimate in most cases or we can contact you with the estimate via phone or email. If the upgrades or repairs are approved, we will contact you when they are finished to pick up your computer during our normal business hours. Minimum Inspection Fee: $25

Labor Rate: $30/hr (minimum 1/2 hour)

Inspection fee will be applied toward repair or upgrade cost once service is approved.

The turnaround times for repairs and upgrades will be determined on a first come - first served basis and will depend on the number of computers in the shop at the time. Normal repair and upgrade times are 2-3 days but may be less depending on the repair or upgrade required. You will only be charged for the parts and exact time of labor to the nearest 1/2 hour.

* In-Home Service

Some repairs and upgrades are very simple and can be performed without disconnecting the many cords and wires from your computer. If the thought of disconnecting your computer alarms you, we can come to your home or place of business to perform many repairs and upgrades. An appointment time will be setup and we will contact you shortly before coming out. A minimum $25 inspection fee will be charged for the home visit, unless your residence or business is outside a 100 radius from our store. If your computer can be serviced on the premises, the $25 fee will be applied toward the repairs and standard labor rates will apply. If we determine that the repair cannot be done in-home, we will take your computer to our store for repairs where standard labor charges will apply. There may be occasions when multiple visits will be necessary for repairs. You will not be charged another inspection fee but standard labor rates will apply.

Extra Fee may apply if in-home service is outside 100 mile radius from Houghton Lake.

The most common repairs done in-home would be the maintenance repairs. These can speed up the performance of a slower machine drastically. We will make sure your hard-drive is error free and defragmented, adjust your virtual memory setting for maximum performance and make recommendations on low cost upgrades.
